- (fr) D'hermine à deux chevrons renversés de gueules accompagnés en chef d'un casque romain d'or.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on November 20, 2014.
The two inverted chevrons form twice the letter V for Vieux-Viel. The name may have been derived from 'vielle rue' (old road), referring to the old Roman road through the area. This is symbolised by the Roman helmet. The ermine shield refers to Brittany.
