Origin/meaning

The arms are known to be used by the municipality since 1790 (seen on a document from April 5, 1790). The arms itself are older and were the arms of the Hugues family and are shown by Hozier at the end of the 17th century for Antoine Hugues, Lord of Rouvray at the time.
