Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on February 8, 2021.
The wavy bordure represents the Wiseppe river, which (nearly) circles the village.
The two fish (barbels) are taken from the arms of the Duchy of Bar, to which the village belonged for a long period of time, before belonging to Clermontois, which was given by Louis XIV to the Princes of Condé. This is represented by the golden fleur-de-lys and the small red bend, taken from the Condé arms.
The cheese press illustrates the manufacture of the Cancoillotte cheese in Wiseppe at the start of the 20th century.
