Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on December 11, 2020.
The bear in chief is the symbol of St. Vaast, the local patron saint. The wavy division line and the wheel represent the former importance of a water mill in the Seine river.
The bars are taken from the arms of the De Roncherolles family, former lords of the village.
The red and golden colours are the colours of Normandy, the region in which the village is situated. Red is also the colour of Rome, and indicates that the area was already inhabited in Roman times.
