PYRÉNÉES-ATLANTIQUES
[[File:pyratlan.gif|center[[Category:|alt-Blason de Pyrénées-Atlantiques / Arms of Pyrénées-Atlantiques]]
Origin/meaning
The arms are a combination of the arms of the former territories from which the département was formed. The chains are the symbol of Navarra; the two cattle are the symbol of the Béarn.
The third quarter shows the arms of the Labourd region and the fourth quarter shows the lion of the Soule.
