Blason de Aumetz / Arms of Aumetz
Official blazon
French D’azur à deux bars adossés d’or, accompagnés d’un massacre de cerf crucifère du même en chef et d’un fer de lance de gueules mouvant de la pointe

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 30, 1960.

The two barbels are taken from the coat of arms of the House of Bar, as the village historically belonged to the Duchy of Bar. The deer antlers with the cross are the symbol of the Saint-Hubert Abbey, which also had possessions in the area. The base shows a spear as a symbol of St. Martin, patron saint of the churches in Aumetz and Gorze.
