Origin/meaning
The fleur-de-lys is taken from the royal arms and indicate that the area was a royal estate. The second quarter is taken from the arms of the former Lords of Guyancourt. The beaver is a symbol for La Bièvre in the municipality, and the cherries refer to a song by Jean Baptiste Clément.
