VLEZENBEEK
Province : Vlaams-Brabant
Incorporated into : 1977 Sint-Pieters-Leeuw
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on September 15, 1819 and again on March 13, 1949.
The arms are identical to the arms of the Schockaert family, Counts of Thirimont and Lords of Vlezenbeek in the 18th century. As they were the last Lords of Vlezenbeek the local council applied for the use of these arms in 1948.
Compare also Dilbeek.
