Arms : Vert a sprig of three maple leaves Or, on a chief Argent a cross Gules.
Crest: A bear passant Sable.
Supporters: Dexter a moose, sinister a Canadian deer proper.
Motto: UT INCEPIT FIDELIS SIC PERMANET
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 25, 1868. Supporters and crest were added on February 27, 1909. The arms were confirmed on October 15, 2010.
The shield consists of three golden maple leaves on a green background with the banner of St. George, and a red cross on white background. Above the shield is the crest, a black bear standing on a wreath of gold and green while a moose and a deer support the left and the right.
The Latin motto means "Loyal she began, loyal she remains."
