Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in March 2021.
When, around 1879, the village of Harponville had to rebuild its church following a fire, the village adopted a canting a coat of arms, showing "a double hook harpoon iron". The arms were, however, never officially adopted by the local council. This was corrected in 2021.
The colours are taken from the arms of 2 important families; De Domqueur and De Raincheval, lords of the village in the 15/16th and 17/18th century respectively.
