Département : Vosges
Additions : 2016 Aumontzey, Granges-sur-Vologne
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on May 31, 2016.
The wavy bar, with the water mill wheel, represents the Vologne and the former water mills in this river. The gold and gules are derived from the arms of Lorraine. The silver point with the red cross symbolizes Saint George.
The silver border with eight roses symbolizes the Rosary, the garland of roses which, in the Middle Ages, crowned the statues of the Virgin.
