Origin/meaning
The village received town status and its arms on January 22, 1526 from King Ludvik of Bohemia on request of Jiri Žabka, who ruled the town at the time. The arms show in the upper half an eagle and in the lower a canting frog for Jiri Žabka (Žabka meaning small frog).
