Shield: Quartered per saltire Azure (Dark Blue*), Tenné, Gules masoned Argent and Celest (Orinetla blue), on a saltire of the fourth, falnked in dexter by a key in pale, wards downward and inward and in sinister a lightning bolt palewise Argent (Silver Gray), two scimitars points downward sable.
Crest: That for the regiments and separate battalions of the Indiana Army National Guard: From a wreath Argent and Azure (Dark Blue), a demi-lion rampant Argent, holding in dexter paw a laurel branch Vert.
Motto: Nunquam decedimus (We never quit).
Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A Silver metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in width overall consisting of a shield blazoned as follows: Quartered per saltire Azure (Dark Blue*), Tenné, Gules masoned Argent and Celest (Orinetla blue), on a saltire of the fourth, falnked in dexter by a key in pale, wards downward and inward and in sinister a lightning bolt palewise Argent (Silver Gray), two scimitars points downward sable. Attached below a Black scroll inscribed "NUNQUAM DECEDIMUS" in Silver.
Origin/meaning
The Blue Colour alludes to the Infantry Roots of the Battalion. Orange and the Lightning symbolises the Signal Branch, The Masoned part alludes to the Engineer Branch. The Key indicates the Military Intelligence role. The Scimitar symbolises Military Readiness and the Battalion's campaign participation in Southwest Asia.
The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Insignia, was both approved on 1 July 2008.
