Selected collector's items from Germany:

INGERSLEBEN

State : Thüringen
District (Kreis) : Gotha
Incorporated into : 2009 Nesse-Apfelstädt

Wappen von Ingersleben

Official blazon

Geteilt von Blau über Gold; oben ein wachsender silberner goldgekrönter und -bewehrter Löwe; unten zwei schwarze ins Andreaskreuz gesetzte Streitkolben.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 18, 1997.

The upper half shows the lion derived from the arms of the Counts of Gleichen, who ruled the area for many centuries. The lower half shows two battle clubs, derived from the arms of the Lords of Ingersleben. The oldest use of the clubs dates from a seal from Fritz von Ingersleben dating from 1368.
