De gueules au château d'argent maçonné de sable et sommé de trois tours carrées, crénelées, celle du milieu plus haute, ledit château accosté de deux écussons, celui de dextre, d'azur à la bande d'argent accompagné de deux doubles cotices potencées et contre potencées d'or et au lambel de gueules, celui de senestre, d'or à trois tourteaux de gueules.
Origin/meaning
The arms show a castle as the town historically was a fortified place.
The two shields are those of the Counts of Sancerres and the Courtenay family, who owned the village in the 14th and 15th-17th century respectively.
