Origin/meaning

The arms combine (elements of) the arms of the former rulers of the village. The cross refers to the Bouzonville Abbey, the lion to the Counts of Nassau, the lower half to the Condé de Lacroix family.

The inescutcheon shows a miner's lamp as a symbol for the mining in the area.
