Shield: Tenné, five fleurs-de-lis one, two and two at the points of an imaginary pentagon Azure, fimbriated Argent.
Crest: None.
Motto: WE MOVE FAST.
Distinctive Unit Insignia. Description: Superimposed on an orange pentagon edged in silver 1 1/32 inches (2.62 cm) in height, one point up are five silver fleurs-de-lis; across base is a silver motto scroll bearing the motto "WE MOVE FAST," in orange letters.
Origin/meaning
Shield: Orange and white are the colors used for Signal battalions. The five fleurs-de-lis symbolize the numerical designation of the unit and five battle honors awarded the unit for service in the European Theater in World War I. Voided blue, they also represent five major engagements in France in World War I.
The arms were approved on 20 October 1965. It was amended to correct the wording in the blazon on 26 October 1965. The arms were amended to correct the blazon of the shield on 10 May 2002. The Distinctive Unit Insignia was approved on 20 October 1965.
