Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on May 31, 2007.
The main figure of the coat of arms is a horsewoman, riding a horse, holding ears of corn in her hands. In Chuvash folk art, there are many legends about virgins warriors confirming that the hot blood of Amazons always flowed in the veins of Chuvash women.
The image of a woman with ears of corn is also a symbol of agriculture and fertility.
The fortress symboles the oldest monument of culture, archeology, architecture - B.Tayabinskoe settlement.
Thus, the figures of the coat of arms indicate that the territory of the region was inhabited in ancient times and that agriculture was and remains the main occupation of the inhabitants.
