Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on June 24, 1911.
The canting deer (Hirsch) already appears on the oldest seal of the town, known since 1442. The addition of the second canting element, the mountain (Berg) appears in a roll of arms from 1700. The arms were officially granted in 1911.
