Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on September 5, 1936.
The cross is taken from the arms of the State of Köln, to which the area historically belonged. The seven rings stand for the 4 municipalities and three cities (Warstein, Hirschberg uand Belecke) in the Amt in 1936.
