Blason de Nesploy
Official blazon
French De gueules à deux chevrons, le premier d’or et le second d’argent, accompagnés de deux quintefeuilles d’argent en chef et d’une fleur de lys d’or en pointe.

Origin/meaning

The two silver leaves symbolise the flower of the medlar tree, referring to the etymology of the name of the commune: Mespiletum which means the place planted with medlars. The fleur-de-lys refers to the fact that the lordship of Nesploy belonged in the Middle Ages to the royal domain which held a castle there.

Finally, the two chevrons are taken from the arms of the Marcel family. This family owned the lordship of Beaugué (to which the village also belonged) from at least the 15th century until the beginning of the 18th century when it passed by marriage to the Carrier family.
