French De sinople à la burelle ondée d'agent, accompagnée en chef d'une fleur de tilleul d'or accostée de deux grappes de raisins du même, en pointe de deux épis de blé d'or ployés en chevron renversé et accosté de deux arbres de sable; sur le tout, d'azur à la mitre d'argent accompagnée de trois fleurs de lis d'or; le tout sommé d'un comble d'or chargé de l'inscription «CHERAC» de sable.

Origin/meaning

The arms show the small shield of the Saintonge region in which the municipality is situated, surrounded by symbols for viticulture, agriculture and forestry. The wavy bar refers to the Charente river and the linden flowers to the local linden tree opposite the church.
