French | D'azur à la clé d'argent accostée de deux gerbes de blé d'or; au chef bastillé d'or chargé de deux pigeons affrontés d'azur. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on August 5, 2023.
The colors of azure, gold and silver are based on the arms of the Saintonge region, in which the village is situated. The embattled chief represents the castle and the fortified farm in the village.
The key is the symbol of St. Peter, the patron saint of the lcoal church. The two pigeons represent the local dovecote, a village landmark.
The sheaf of wheat indicates the agricultural character of the municipality.
