  • (fr) De gueules à deux bars adossés d'argent, accompagnés en chef et en pointe de deux gerbes de blé d'or, à la divise ondée alésée d'argent brochant en abîme.

Origin/meaning

The two fish are taken from the arms of the Marquise of Gerbévillers, former lords of the village. The two fish are connected with a small bar, symbolising the Mortagne river, and combined they for the letter H. The two wheat sheaves are a symbol for the agricultural character of the village.
