Blason de Wacquemoulin

Official blason

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 2021.

The three lions are the arms of the Picardie region, in which the village is situated. The second quarter shows St. Christopher, the local patron saint.

The wavy division line and the blue lower field refer to the Aronde river in the municipality. The water mill wheel refers to the former importance of the water mills in the area, and is a canting symbol (moulin=mill).

The wheat symbolises agriculture, the reed the local marshlands.
