Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a blue oval edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) orange border, 2 11/16 inches (6.83 cm) in width, and 3 1/ 2 inches (8.89 cm) in height overall, a yellow bearcat head couped, teeth white and details golden orange between a yellow wreath of laurel arcing from base and surmounted at top by a white scroll inscribed “ANSON” in blue letters and in base by a white scroll inscribed “BEARCATS” of the like.
Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 3/8 inches (3.49 cm) in height overall, consisting of a shield blazoned: Tenné, a mullet of four between a parchment surmounted by a quill bendwise sinister in chief and a Lamp of Knowledge in base Or, arcing below the shield a Blue Scroll turned Gold and inscribed “STRIVING FOR EXCELLENCE” in Gold letters. Resting atop the shield, a Gold crouching bearcat, its tail and dexter paw arcing to the scroll.
