Origin/meaning
In 1213 King Premysl Otakar I granted the first privileges to the mining settlement founded near the gold mines. The arms with a miner also appear in the 13th century. During the years the actual composition has changed a lot, the current design (blue shield, black clothes) dates from the 17th century.
