Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on December 18, 2000.
The linden refers to the linden on the main square in the village as well as to the Lindenteich area in the municipality. The base refers to the Nesse river. The small shield with the shears is the arms of the medieval Lords of Molschleben. The wheel refers to the cultivation of woad (Isatis tinctoria) and the manufacture of a blue dye from pressing the plant. In the village there were two mills and two facturies for dye production.
