Origin/meaning

The first quarter refers to the Knights Templar and their Balizy chapter, to which the village historically belonged. The second quarter shows the arms of the Île-de-France region. The third quarter shows a grape-knife and refers to the former importance of viticulture in the region. The fourth quarter shows a walnut leaf (noyer), a canting element for Nozay.
