11TH FORCE SUPPORT SQUADRON, US AIR FORCE

History: Constituted as Air Base Squadron, 12 Air Base Group, (Special) and activated on 1 September 1940. Redesignated as: 11 Air Base Squadron (Special) on 17 January 1941; 11 Base Headquarters and Air Base Squadron on 13 June 1942. Disbanded on 1 April 1944. Reconstituted, and consolidated (15 July 1994) with 1100 Mission Support Squadron, which was designated, and activated, on 11 March 1992. Redesignated as: 11 Mission Support Group on 15 July 1994; 11 Force Support Squadron on 1 October 2010.
