History:Constituted as 1 Army Air Forces Combat Camera Unit on 4 February 1943. Activated on 12 February 1943. Inactivated on 9 September 1945. Redesignated as 1 Air Force Combat Camera Unit on 26 September 1947. Activated in the Reserve on 10 August 1948. Inactivated on 27 June 1949. Redesignated as 1 Combat Camera Unit on 14 Auguast 1950. Activated on 2 September 1950. Redesignated as 1 Photographic Squadron on 16 April 1951. Inactivated on 8 June 1954. Consolidated (1 April 1992) with the 1361 Photographic Squadron, which was designated, and activated, on 1 July 1971. Redesignated as: 1361 Audiovisual Squadron on 1 June 1976; 1361 Audiovisual Squadron (Combat Camera) on 1 February 1990; 1 Combat Camera Squadron on 1 April 1992.
