The Double-warded key symbolises both indirect and direct suppport. The Oriental Dragon in the Crest symbolises World War II service in the Pacific Theater, especially the Ryuykus Archipelago. The Spears pointing in the major compass points, symbolises that the capture of the Ryuykus gave the allied a bas 700 miles out from Japan in any direction. They where redesignated for the 35th Supply and Service Battalion on 6 October 1966. The arms were rescinded on 16 September 1987, and reinstated for the 35th Supply and Service Battalion on ?. The Distinctive Unit Insignia was redesignated for the 35th Support Battalion on 16 October 2006. | |||
