548TH US ARMY ARTILLERY GROUP
Official blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a shield blazoned: Gules, a chevron Or semé of golpes, in base a fleur-de-lis within an annulet of the second. Attached below and to the sides of the shield a Gold scroll inscribed “RELIABLE AND RELENTLESS” in Black letters.
Origin/meaning
The golpe is a heraldic charge used to represent grapes which are symbolic of Rhineland. The fleur-de-lis within a ring represents service in Central Europe.
