Shoulder Sleeve Insignia.  Description:  On a blue arched shield edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border a blue sailor’s bib throughout bearing two yellow stars between yellow piping all above a red disc.  Attached above the shield a blue scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border inscribed “BEAUMONT” in yellow letters.  The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 7/8 inches (7.30 cm) in width.


Shoulder Loop Insignia.  Description:  On a Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned:  Per bend sinister Azure and Or an aircraft engine affronté Argent detailed Sable, the propeller of the third bendwise sinister throughout.  Attached below the shield, a Silver Scroll inscribed “SPIRIT OF ST. LOUIS” in Blue letters.  Attached above the shield, a Silver scroll inscribed “TRADITION” in Blue letters.

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia:  Blue and gold (yellow) are the school colors.  The upper half of the shield suggests the “bib” from a seaman’s dress blue uniform and reflects the school mascot, “The Blue Jackets”.  The red disc symbolizes the surgical prowess of Dr. William Beaumont, the school’s namesake.

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia:  Blue and gold are the school colors.  The silver prop and engine cowling are that of the “Spirit of St. Louis” airplane of Charles Lindbergh, suggesting the skill, determination and courage of the cadets.
Shoulder Sleeve Insignia:   


The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 30 January 1996. The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 3 October 1997.  
The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and the Shoulder Loop Insignia was both approved .
