CREMONA

Region: Lombardia

Arms (crest) of Cremona (province)
Official blazon
Italian

Origin/meaning

Like many provincial arms in Italy, these arms show the main cities of the province.

The right half of red and silver, with a vertical arm passing over weared of red and silver, keeping with the and a golden ball, is based on the arms of the city of Cremona.

The upper left half is based on the arms of Crema, a right arm contesting an iron sword, in the middle of two deer horns, in the act of cutting the last knot of the right horn. The lower left half is based on the arms of Casalmaggiore, a stoney city-gate, open and natural coloured, on a green base, with two guelph merlons.
