| Dutch | Gedeeld, 1, in azuur een Christusmonogram, bestaande uit de Griekse letters X en R, zwevend boven een drietoppig heuveltje in de schildvoet, alles van goud; 2, doorsneden, A, in zilver een vlammend hart van keel, B, in keel een leeuw van zilver. Het schild is gedekt met een met edelstenen bezette mijter van zilver en goud, waarvan ter weerszijden twee gouden, van keel gevoerde linten met gouden franje afhangen, de uiteinden beladen met een breedarmig kruisje van keel; achter het schild schuingekruist een kromstaf en een omgekeerde sleutel, beide van goud. Devies: SERVUS ET PASTOR van zwarte letters op een wit lint. |

Origin/meaning
The arms are impaled with the arms of the diocese. The flaming heart is taken from Luke 24:32 and the lion is the symbol of St. Hieronymus, the patron saint of the bishop. The mitre, key and crosier are based on the Americal Episcopal Church, to which the church of the bishop was affiliated.
Until 1999 he used different arms, see above. The meaning thereof I do not know.
