Official blazon
French Blazon wanted
English Or, in base three barulets undy azure and issuing there from a demi-opinicus sable armed and languaged gules and holding in the dexter paw a maple leaf of the last.

Motto: Pepérer et détruire.

Origin/meaning

The Opinicus is like the Griffin a combination of an Eagle and a Lion, but with a short tail like that of a Bear. It suggests that the Squadron has the Strength of a Lion and the Aerial Agility of an Eagle. The Maple alludes to Canada. The Motto translates as "To seek out the foe and to destroy him".
