Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 28, 2006.

The basis of the coat of arms of Neftegorsk is an oil rig, stylized under the rays of the sun, standing on oil-bearing (black) and gas-bearing (azure) layers laid in the ground. The emerging sun is a source of heat and light, pouring out a stream of energy on the earth, and on people.

Both designs above were used for the town in the 1990s, but have never been approved.
