Wapens en Kerken (Arms and churches)

Amsterdam.wak.jpg

In the 1930s (?) two series of postcards were issued in the Netherlands showing the arms and a typical church from a town.

Series 1

These series were issued by the company Lima from Amsterdam. They could be bought as series in a package. The information folder indicates that an album can be obtained afterwards, however, such an album may never have been published. Also it is mentioned that these cards are Series 1, but I am not aware of any other series.

The series comprises 12 cards, each card showing the arms of a capital of the 11 provinces (and Amsterdam) and a typical church in the town.

Series 2

These series date from 1940. I have no further information on the publisher.
