Écartelé: au 1er d'or à la bande de gueules chargée de trois alérions d'argent, au 2e de gueules à l'église d'or, au 3e de gueules au puits de mine d'or, au 4e d'azur semé de croisettes d'argent au lion du même, armé, lampassé et couronné d'or.
Origin/meaning
The first and fourth quarter show the former rulers of the village, the dukes of Lorraine, and the counts of Nassau-Saarbrücken. The church is the one built on the site of the hospital that gave its name to the locality. The mine shaft symbolizes the mining activity in the municipality.
