ZERLACH
State : Steiermark
District : Südoststeiermark (until 2015 Feldbach)
Incorporated into : 2015 Kirchbach-Zerlach
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on May 7, 1984.
Farming plays an important part in the municipality. The wheat-ears represent bread, powerful symbol of life. The chain stands for the church of St. Leonhard, patron of stock-farmers. The base embattled commemorates a castle, which has disappeared.
