Origin/meaning

The lesser Swedish State Coat of Arms indicating a Guards Unit, here with The Armoured Arms with Swords indicating a Armoured Unit. Not shown here is the Chain of the Order of the Seraphim which also formed part of the Coat of Arms. The Regiment was formerly a Infantry Unit disbanded in 1939 only to reform shortly afterwards as an Armoured Unit. The Regiment was disbanded in 1980.
