TORRELLES DE FOIX
Region : Catalonia
Province : Barcelona
Official blazon
Escut caironat: d'atzur, 2 torres de sable obertes acostades sobremuntades de 3 estrelles d'argent malordenades. Per timbre, una corona de marquès.
Origin/meaning
These arms have been officially granted on 15th September 1992.
The arms are canting, and they show traditionally two towers (Torrelles remind "little towers" in Catalan) and three stars. The local castle became the centre of the marquisat of Foix in 1711, and this is shown by the marquis crown at the top of the arms.
