OBERROHRDORF
Canton : Aargau
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted on December 20, 1953.
The reed mace plants (Rohr) are canting. The cross and orb are a symbol for Queen Agnes of Hungary, founder of the hospital in Baden, to which the village historically belonged (the cross is derived from the arms of Hungary, see also Fislisbach). The star is derived from the arms of the Wettingen Abbey, which ruled the village of Staretschwil in the municipality (see also Neuenhof).
