- (fr) Écartelé: au 1er losangé d'or et de gueules, au 2e d'azur au moulin à papier terrassé d'argent, ouvert et ajouré de sable, accompagné de deux arbres de sinople et d'une falaise d'or, au 3e d'argent à la grappe de raisin de pourpre, feuillée de sinople, au 4e d'or au diable de gueules tenant une fourche de trois pointes de sable.
Origin/meaning
The arms show in the first quarter the arms of the Angoumois region and in the second quarter the local paper mill. The third quarter refers to the importance of viticulture, whereas the fouth refers to the Château de Diable (devil's castle) in the municipality.
