Escudo medio partido y cortado. Primero, de azur, una venera de plata. Segundo, de sinople una acémila de plata. Tercero, de plata un castillo de gules, acompañado de dos árboles de su color. Al timbre corona real de España.
Origin/meaning
The arms show a scallop, the symbol of St. James, as the village is on the road to Santiago de Compostella. The donkey refers to the fact that in historical times a main road led through the village, on which many trains of pack animals passed. Th eoaks refer to the landscape, the tower to the village itself.
