D’argent au macle gringolé de sable, le premier serpent ondoyant en chef mouvant du flanc senestre de la pièce, la tête vers le chef posée en bande au canton dextre, le second serpent contourné ondoyant en pointe mouvant du flanc dextre de la pièce, la tête vers le chef posée en barre au canton senestre.

Origin/meaning

The mascle is taken from the arms of the medieval Counts of Bitche. The meaning of the snakes is not clear, they may symbolise the strength and defence of the Bitche fortress.
