LAPOVO (Лапово)
District : Šumadija
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in March 2000.
The escutcheon shows St. Paraskeve, Patron Saint of Lapovo. The St. Andrew's ross refers to Lapovo being one of the most important crossroads and railway junctures in Serbia. The wheat ears symbolises agriculture, the oak leaves forests, and the barry field the Morava river. The wounded boar is the apocryphal arms of Serbia, later assigned to region of Šumadija (Woodland), where Lapovo is situated. The blue tincture of the horse supporter alludes to River Morava again (ancient word "Morav" means "Dark Blue")
