BOUZONVILLE

Département : Moselle

Blason de Bouzonville

Official blazon

D’or à la fasce de gueules, chargée d’un renard d’argent et surmontée d’une croisette de gueules.

Origin/meaning

The arms appear for the first time in the 18th century, the meaning of the fox is not known. The cross is taken as a symbol for the Holy Cross abbey, around which the village developed.

The village may use the 1939-1945 War Cross under the arms.
