The arms were officially granted in 1948.
The arms were officially granted in 1948. The Millstone symbolises the Important Milling Industry, which once produced 1/4 of all Flour used in Sweden.<br>
When the Two armorial units the Borough of [[Saltsjöbaden]] and the [[Boo]] Rural Municipality was incorporated in 1971, there was som argument as to which Arms the "new" Nacka should use.<br>
Especially the Saltsjöbaden Arms was popular, but in the End it was decided that the Arms of the Largest and Namegiving Nacka, should be adopted without changes.
